Explore the unreserved reserve

With over 250 acres to explore that plays host to a variety of different wildlife throughout the year you’re guaranteed to find something new here every time – we’ve plenty of Nature Moments for you to discover!

Brockholes is one of the best sites in the UK for many species of bird and the Boilton Wood section of the reserve has one of the largest strips of ancient woodland in the county.

We have several walking trails, while you can also take a stroll by the River Ribble or enjoy the many lakes on site, which have all been specially designed to attract all kinds of wildlife for you to see.

We also have a fantastic natural adventure Play area too that will thrill children of all ages, with highlights including a climbing forest and a zip wire, while the Guild Wheel cycle way runs through the centre of the reserve too.

Please note, we advise you to wear sturdy footwear while exploring the reserve.
