Coffee lovers drink to a wilder future

Wildlife lovers have even more reason to enjoy a take-away hot drink from Brockholes, as this week we have launched our brand new environmentally-friendly fresh coffee.

Triple certified fair trade, organic and Rainforest Alliance approved the new coffee is described as “Wonderfully full and rounded, offering toast and sweetness on the nose, and a bright palate bursting with juicy top notes.”

We have been searching for coffee that stands up to the values that we hold as an environmental charity, with an exceptional taste. As a Trust, we always aim to offer sustainably sourced produce and the Matthew Algie ethics and principles are a great fit for us. They are committed to sustainably sourcing and producing tea, hot chocolate and many other products. Matthew Algie gives back to the community, both at origin and on a local level. Their Glasgow roastery is the first coffee roastery in the world to achieve the Carbon Neutral Gold Standard.

They are a small team of coffee and tea lovers dedicated to creating and sourcing the very best coffee bar products.

Changes in the Kestrel Kitchen

During this era of Government restrictions due to Covid-19, we are only able to serve takeaway food and drink for you to consume outside of the Kestrel Kitchen. We are taking every effort to ensure you still recieve the best quality food, drink and customer service at all times.

Our coffee cups are 100% compostable and so will biodegrade much faster than the standard plastic coffee cup and lid. We also sell reusable coffee cups in our shop which is temporarily located inside the Kestrel Kitchen.

The change in coffee follows a move away from plastic water bottles, as we now only sell water in more widely recyclable cans. We will also happily refill any water vessel you bring yourself, free of charge.
