Extending the Meadow Lake path

Extending the Meadow Lake path

The path around Meadow Lake has been extended and is now open for the public to enjoy and explore.

Thanks to generous funding from the Lancashire Environmental Fund (LEF), the Meadow Lake path has had an extension.

Where the trail used to end by the entrance road to Brockholes, it now extends into the woodland on the right hand side of the road, taking you right round to the other side of the River Ribble. From here you will be able to take in previously unaccessible views across the river, and walk straight through to the osprey platform viewing point.

A new map to accompany this route extension is in progress, but in the mean time, ask any of of team on-site or follow the map below (new path indicated in red).
