April 2023 Photography Competition Results

Michaela Moville

April’s photography competition theme was ‘a Bugs Life’ and our photographers did not disappoint!

As the warmer months arrive, we start to see the return of all creatures great and small! For this month’s photo competition our attention was drawn to the small, as we look into the wonderful world of insects!

As always, we have received some fantastic entries that made it hard for our judges to choose however, there can be only one winner. After much deliberation the winner of April’s photography competition is… Michaela Moville!

Beetle

Michaela Moville

Our judges loved the way that Michaela captured her close-up of this tiny Beetle enjoying a delicious looking leaf! The clarity of the beetle against the blurred background is very impressive!

Bee

Charlotte Fare

Second place goes to Charlotte Fare and her beautiful image of a Bee on a flower titled ‘Don’t worry bee happy’. It’s safe to say this lovely image made our judge very happy!

common green shieldbug

Stephen Timothy

Finally, third place goes to Stephen Timothy with his magnificent photo of a common green shieldbug! Our judges loved the contrast of this small green bug against the white of the flower.

A huge thank you to everyone who sent in their wonderful images! The winner will be contacted via email with details of how to redeem their £100 optics voucher prize.
