Wildlife Diaries - the team are back!

Ross Hoddinott

After spending a lot of time preparing the reserve for visitors to start coming again, the conservation team are back doing what they love most.

Ragwort is an important food plant for the cinnabar moth and butterfly. However, it is also highly poisonous to our cattle. Tom and the team have been pulling up the plant from areas where our cattle graze and moving it to areas where they can grow happily and feed our wonderful moth population.

Tom welcomes you back to Brockholes and gives an insight into some of the jobs the conservation team are up to, to keep all our wildlife safe from harm.
