Running from Saturday 27 May to Sunday 4 June we’ve a fantastic half term events schedule!
We have some exciting new activities, including a ‘Forest Schools’ taster, as well as several returning favourites, such as a Pirate themed ‘Wild Families’ special!

Brockness Monster Weekend
Sat 27, Sun 28 & Mon 29 May, 10am-4pm, £2 per craft activity
Join for a host of watery themed activities across the bank holiday weekend. This also coincides with the start of our pond dipping season here at Brockholes! There will be plenty of themed children’s activities and chance to view some water monsters close up.
Pond Dipping – 2017 launch

Join us for the launch of the 2017 Brockholes pond dipping season. Pond Dipping is not just for kids and is an opportunity for all visitors to roll up their sleeves and discover what lies beneath the surface here at Brockholes! The sessions are just for fun and no previous knowledge is required.
Tue 30 May – Sun 4 Jun, 10am-4pm, £3 per pack
‘Xplorer’ is a great outdoor activity, run in partnership with British orienteering. You’ll have to explore the reserve and find our markers, in order to complete the challenge… and win a chocolate treat and certificate! This event is drop-in; there is no need to book.
Wild Families: Pirates (*)

Shiver me timbers – our swashbuckling family adventure returns! We encourage you to come in fancy dress, as you’ll work together to find our hidden treasure here at Brockholes.
Wildside Holiday Club (*)
Wed 31 May, 9:30am-4pm, from £17.50 per child
Wildside is our popular school holiday club aimed at those aged 8-14 and we offer post Wildside sessions too! Activities have included shelter making, fire lighting, woodland games and outdoor art. You can also extend your child’s session from 4pm-5.30pm for an extra £4pp.
Mad Science – Light (*)

The Mad Science Team are back at Brockholes for an awesome workshop focusing on perceived light and its effect on objects!
Forest Schools Family Fun (*)
Thu 1 Jun, 2-4pm, from £5pp/£18 family of four (2+2)
NEW FOR 2017! Forest School is a unique and inspirational learning experience centred around outdoor education and play in a woodland environment.
This taster session is an opportunity for families to experience a Forest School session and will include an environmental art activity, snack time around the camp fire (included in ticket) and an opportunity for play and discovery in the woodlands!

Summer Evening Stroll (*)

Join us for an evening stroll around Brockholes. This is the perfect opportunity to de-stress and to see the reserve in all its early summer glory… as well as the wildlife that comes out when our visitors have left for the day!

Crafty Creative are our regular drop-in craft sessions with a nature or environmental theme! Just drop-in between the advertised times – no booking is required.
