February 2023 Photography Competition

February 2023 Photography Competition

Les Price

It’s that time of month again where we announce the winners of our monthly photography competition, with the theme for February being ‘Winter Birds’.

We have received some incredible images of our feathered friends from across our region! From perching on a post or high up in a tree to flouncing their feathers for us all to see, this month’s entries have manged to capture it all.

Unfortunately, our judges can only pick one winner. We received so many amazing entries and choosing a winner was extremely difficult.

We are delighted to announce that the winner of February’s photography competition is… Les Price!

Stonechat at Brockholes

Les Price

This stunning image stole the show! Les has managed to capture this little Stonechat with such incredible detail, highlighting the incredible colours of its plumage. This accompanied by the frosted post encapsulates the theme of ‘Winter Birds’ perfectly.

Short Eared Owl

Russell Finney Photography

In second place we have Russell Finney with this incredible image of a short-eared owl in flight above the grasses.

Winter Grouse

Ben Harrott

Finally, in third place we have Ben Harrott with his marvellous image of a Grouse, photographed on a crisp winter’s morning.

A huge thank you to everyone who sent in their wonderful images! The winner will be contacted via email with details of how to redeem their £100 optics voucher prize.
